Snorkel Tours & Introductory Dives
Snorkelling at Julian Rocks
Come for a snorkel tour to Julian Rocks, home of 3 species of marine turtles. Since turtles hav to come to the surface to breathe they are particularly easy to spot for snorkellers.
Other marine life you will be able to observe are schools of fish, sometimes even manta rays, maybe the last leopard sharks of the season and much more.
Snorkel the Tassie II
If conditions allow, we will offer a guided snorkel to the wreck of the Tassie II, only a short distance from the main beach. The wreck is very shallow so on a good day it is a very good snorkel and home to shovelnose rays, wobbegong sharks, big schools of fish and sometimes even turtles.
Introductory Scuba Dives at Julian Rocks
Every day we will conduct introductory dives at Julians Rocks and as part of the Underwater Festival you will have free access to all marine wildlife presentations and the Underwater Festival Finale event.
Introductory dives run for half a day and include a pool lesson, some theory and a full ocean dive at Julian Rocks in Cape Byron Marine Park under the guidance of an experienced dive instructor. You don’t need any prior knowledge to do this dive, however if you suffer from asthma, diabetes or epilepsy you will need a medical certificate that you are fit to dive. You can’t dive if you are pregnant or if you are flying within 24 hours after your dive.
